Any suggestions for improvement?: Given the essential need for photographs, I think it would be well worthwhile to ask your web designer to provide a step by step guide as to how they can be sent. I am reasonably familiar with emailing & web searches etc. but could see no obvious way of sending photographs and no indication as to how many the site could cope with. Very difficult to get a single really detailed picture so had attempted to send about five.

I used this online service after repeated visits to my local GP's. I have been prescribed steroid creams, ointments, emollients, antibiotics and given a different diagnoses and my GP would not refer me to a dermatologist. One GP even told me to keep repeating using hydrocortisone on my eyelids and could put it on repeat prescription for me - even though it thins the skin after prolonged use. I used this service, as my problem was with my eyelids swelling up and becoming red and inflamed as well as other dry skin on my face. It was getting me very down as it was on my face - and everybody could see the problems I was having. Dr. Attili, listened to what I said and understands that a skin condition is not just about how it looks but how it makes a person feel and thats why finding the cause is just as important as the treatment. He replied via email which was my preferred method of contact. He told me it looked like it was contact dermatitis and I should be referred to a specialist as we needed to find the cause and not just treat the symptoms (something one GP didn't seem too keen on doing). Dr Attili provided me with a letter for my GP and a private prescription (which was detailed) for a medicine called protopic and this has improved my skin and my life so much. He always responds very quickly and the service was great. I used this service after looking at a lot of online services because Dr Attili was very open about who he was with his registration number/surgery address. I was concerned about making sure it was a real doctor before using an online service - he made sure I didn't have to worry as I knew he was genuine by his details. Thank you again for all your help and kindness.

What do you like about the online consultation service?: Very convenient for busy people. Easy to use and the response came very quickly. Re-assuring, but thorough with explanations. I would recommend this to my friends if they needed a consultation that could fit in their work schedules.

What do you like about the online consultation service?: The best asset of the online service is being able to follow up on the email consultation with a phone call. Sometimes there are additional questions and details that are needed which really help to speak to someone in person. This is the main reason I choose this service instead of other on-line services. If I can get email advice and a follow-up phone call to discuss it, then I would continue to use this service.
Any suggestions for improvement?: I think it would be great if the doctor was able to send a quick email to clients a couple of weeks later to see if their problem is getting better. If it has gotten better, than the client would just say everything is okay and that would be the end of it. If not, they could pay the fee again and continue to discuss how to further treat the problem.

Having had a patch of spots on my face for around a year, and a conflicting diagnosis from two different GP�s, I decided to seek a private consultation from a dermatologist. I looked into the cost of consultations at private hospitals and found that the prices were extremely high. When I found this site I was initially unsure about seeking a consultation online, but I am very glad I did it. After submitting a detailed question with photos of the affected area, Dr Attili responded the same day with some follow up questions. A telephone consultation was arranged for the next day, during which Dr Attili explained his diagnosis and the treatment options. In addition to this, we discussed general skin care and the kind of products that would be most appropriate for my skin type. Dr Attili is helpful, professional and answered my many questions clearly and quickly. As it is not convenient for me to get to my local GP surgery during working hours, I requested a private prescription for a very reasonable price. I am delighted with the service I received and glad I overcame my initial reservations about having an online/telephone consultation. It has saved me a lot of money in comparison to a face to face consultation and I am very happy with the outcome.

It saved time and effort on my part. Finding a reputable dermatologist nearby is not easy. As the cost is very reasonable, far more people can have access to treatment.
